Mark Newman is a seasoned singer/songwriter and performer and tonight he’ll be opening up for the Doobie Brothers at a famous Long Island venue, The Paramount.
Newman’s library of performances spans numerous other venues like B.B King’s, The Space at Westbury, Pig n’ Whistle. He’s played with names like John Oates of Hall and Oates, Willy DeVille, and Sam Moore. His experience as a singer, lyricist, performer, and sideman (session player) has lead him to travelling to many places around the world to perform and showcase his immense talent (how many people can say they play five different string instruments?).
Mark Newman’s sound is bluesy and reminiscent of older rock n’ roll, while remaining fresh and easy to listen to. The Doobie Brothers will be great on their own, but Newman is sure to bring a special flavor to tonight’s show at The Paramount!
