Club Loaded always has exciting events lined up at some of Long Island’s favorite bars and venues. Coming up in the New Year, Mulcahy’s Pub & Concert Hall will be hosting a night of classic, 80’s rock n’ roll starring ZEBRA- A Hammerheads Reunion with Vixen opening up for them.
The band started out doing covers and quickly evolved their sound, eventually landing a deal with Atlantic Records through which they released their debut album in 1983.
The special event will consist of the band performing their debut album in its entirety.

This coming weekend, performers will come together in Jamesport, NY in support of Hurricane Relief after the recent destruction that occurred in Haiti.
Artists Kim Vogels, Cass Dillon, and Mariel- among others- will come together at an evening of food, drinks, and music to support the efforts of Riverhead-based doctor, Bellamy Brook who set up a health clinic in Haiti in 2014. Brook traveled to the clinic in light of recent events and has seen first hand the poverty and poor conditions that the people of Haiti have been living in only made worse by two natural disasters hitting the island close together.
It’s always refreshing to see musical artists help out however they can. And why not attend? There are complimentary drinks, delicious Italian food, and great music- all for a good cause.

Up and coming artist, Sky Katz, is making waves in her career and the industry at the young age of 11!
Katz was a contestant on America’s Got Talent and was able to impress the hard-to-please Simon Cowell. The young star puts a fresh, young take on her music and hopes to push the boundaries of the rap game even further. Inspiration and influence come from some of today’s biggest names, like award winning female rapper, Nicki Minaj, and Drake.
This young rapper already has music released (her singles “Fresh” and “Haters”) and is due to release an album in 2017.
Keep an eye out for this one- it shouldn’t be hard. After all, this is huge talent coming from a little star!
The Long Island Music Hall of Fame has recently announced the addition of more inductees, honorees, and presenters. The ceremony will take place this Thursday, November 3rd.
The LIMHoF honors music and artists in Kings, Queens, Nassau, and Suffolk counties. I think it’s great that the Long Island area has a resource for celebrating music and creators that come from here when they excel in their fields and it’s exciting to see more people announced!
A few of the inductees, honorees, and presenters included in this year’s ceremony include Sandy Pearlman, Steven Van Zandt, Carter Burwell (a personal favorite of mine), Vince Giordano, and Brian Koppelman.
More info can be found here.
On November 10th, Grace Music School will celebrate its grand opening by hosting a press conference and a competition featuring high school students playing the music of Billy Joel’s album, “Fantasies and Delusions”.
The competition will give students the chance to showcase their talents and the winner of the competition will walk away with a $1000 prize as well as the opportunity to perform at the highly regarded Carnegie Hall!
This is a very exciting event honoring not only the Long Island born legend, Billy Joel, but young talent in the local area, too.
Separate grand opening celebrations will also take place on November 12th and 13th.

This weekend, I was able to get back to one of my favorite Long Island spots, Revolution Bar and Music Hall. Friday night the venue hosted a handful of acts, ranging from acoustic and soulful to pure rock n roll and classic, upbeat pop.
Vista (pictured in the second of the 2 pictures below) brought vibrant, loud energy to the room with their vocalist’s powerful voice and wild dance moves. Her charisma really held the audience’s attention and made it hard not to check them out.
The headliners of the event, The Weekend Riot, showcased their ability to not only write their own catchy tunes, but put their own special twist on popular covers. They made the audience laugh and just as well brought a palpable, fun energy into the place.
Revolution is a great venue for bands like this. It gives locals a chance to perform in front of the headlining acts plus helps build exposure for the artists. I’m definitely looking forward to the next time I head out to Amityville for a show!
After competing on a popular Italian talent TV show, Io Canto, Alessandro Coli released his single “Sento Che” and the song quickly topped the Italian radio charts and stayed in the top 30 for over a month. Coli has since released an EP and more singles, including “Flames” and his most recent track, “I Betcha”.
Both singles are fun and feature smooth beats and interesting vocals. “Flames” has been called a “smokin’ club track” and Coli was able to put out an EP of remixes of the track.
His latest single, “I Betcha”, has garnered attention from MySpace (the video for the track premiered exclusively on the social media platform) and is an upbeat take on a failed romance.
Upon his recent arrival to New York, he will be performing at a few venues over the next few nights, tonight included! Catch him at:
- Revel, tonight Thursday October 13th @ 9pm
- Mio Posto in Oceanside, Friday October 14th @ 11pm
- Aura nightclub, Saturday October 15th @ 11pm
- The Emporium, Saturday October 15th @ 12am
Coli is very dedicated to his music and his success thus far will only push him further. Seeing any up and coming artist find success, especially so far from home, is exciting and I’m sure we’ll be seeing more of the singer!
For now, you can find his extremely catchy tunes on Spotify and iTunes.
